Putting up Tents
The Scouts and Explorers went out on Monday night and practised putting up the type of tent they will be camping in when they go to Holland in the summer.
It took 20 minutes to put up and ten minutes to pack away. Everyone worked well together and the Explorer Scouts helped the younger ones to get things done. Click on the photo for more pictures.
After that, we played a few wide games – the area we were using was a training area used by the army so that we can now use. This is great as since the closure of Buckmore park, the Scouts and Explorers have been limited to where they can do outdoor activities.
