Scout Night
Had quite a lot happening tonight, an investiture; some creative expression; hot air balloons and some eureka moments;
Investiture
One of the Cubs who has been coming along to Scouts on their moving on award was invested as a Scout tonight. It’s good to see him come up – all the Cubs said they would miss him and he’s already made an impact in the Troop.
Creative Expression
The Scouts were given free reign with all the Beavers and Cubs craft materials. They produced paintings on a number of subjects and some clay models. Check out the pictures below.
Hot air Balloon and a Eureka Moment
After all the painting and making the Scouts tried to inflate the hot air balloon but could not get enough heat from the sources available. They then had a challenge to create a craft from the remaining modelling clay that could support the most number of coins before sinking. See the pictures below to find out how they got on.
