Salvation Army Scout & Guide Fellowhip 2005, Batley
This weekend, over 40 Scouters and Guiders from around the UK joined together in Batley, West Yorkshire, to have a weekend fellowship.
Everyone arrived on the Saturday and enjoyed lunch together. Then in the afternoon we visited the National Coal Mining Museum for England. Here we went down the mine and were shown how coal mining has been done for the past 400 years.
In the evening on the Saturday there was quiz; we were joined by other members of the Batley Salvation Army for this and had a great time.
On the Sunday morning there was a Church Parade led by Majors Ruth Clarke and David Jepson. This was followed with a meeting about next years International Jamboree in Holland and lunch before everyone travelled home.
It was a great time to catch up with friends from around the UK. If you’d like to see more pictures from the weekend, visit the photo gallery
