Life in Peru
On Monday night, we were visited by Sarah and Paul Tester. They are going to live in Peru from September as missionaries with SAMS.
They talked to the Beavers and Cubs about what life is like in Peru, describing the different climates from the desert area near Lima, the Andes mountains and the rainforest on the western coast.
They also ran a quiz with the Explorers and Scouts about South America and talked about how peoples everyday lives are different from here in the UK.
Everybody had a chance to dress up in some traditional Peruvian clothing and to try some mangos which are grown in Peru.
We’ll be keeping in touch with Sarah and Paul once they move so look out for future posts about them.
