Pre Event InformationÂ
This year, the Salvation Army UK Territories Scouters and Guiders fellowship is being hosted by the Scouters and Guiders of the Chatham Salvation Army.
There will be lots of things to do on the weekend, including visiting the Historic town of Rochester with it’s High Street made famous by Cahrles Dickens. You can also visit the Castle and the Cathedral or perhaps take a tour of Chatham’s Historic Dockyard or take a leisurly walk along the river medway.
Update: It’s also the Medway Food and Drink Festival so there are a number of events that you can join in with on the Saturday, including a guided walk around the City; visit the Harvest Apple Fair in the Information center, see the Wine Waiter and Pancake races down the high street and local entertainers will be permforming.
There will be a special Guest speaker on the Saturday night and plenty of oppourtunity to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.
Directions
Chatham is easy to reach from the M2 Motorway. Take the Junction 3 exit and follow the signs towards Chatham Town Center. (This will take you along the A229 Maidstone Road, Horsted Way, and the A230 Maidstone Road). At the end of the Maidstone road, you will have to turn right into Best street. Take the first turning on the left into Clover street, Follow the road round to the right and park in the Car Pack opposite Debenhams. (Bring lots of change - car parking is expensive in Medway and you do not get change!) To get to the Salvation Army hall, leave the car park and walk past the NCP Car park and it’s on your left.
More information will be added in the coming weeks. For now, why not take a look at the photographs from last years weekend in Batley.
