Blackwell Adventure 2008

The Salvation Army UK Territorial camp was held at the Blackwell Adventure, near Bromsgrove from Saturday 2nd to Friday 8th August 2008. Salvation Army Scouts and Guides from around the UK did their own activitiies during the day and met up in the evening for joint events.

Cub Pack Holiday YHA Holmbury St Mary May 2008

In May 2008, the Cubs held their Pack Holiday at the Holmbury St Mary Youth Hostel, near Dorking in Surrey. They visited Drusilas Park, made rockets, hunted for bugs, searched for life in a pond, played wide games, had campfires and generally had a good time.

Gilwell Funday 2007

The Beavers and Cubs went to the Centenary Funday at Gilwell Park on 16th June 2007. They enjoyed the bouncy castles, climbing, jousting and rafting amongst many other activities

Moving, Falling and Fire lighting

One of our Beavers moved up to Cubs on Monday night. It's always nice to see young people move through to another section and we hope he enjoys his time in the Cubs. The Beavers also made some Hooks for their visit to the Cubs Pirate Camp and played a giant version of Jenga - they had to hide under a table just in case it fell over! The Scouts had they're first visit to Buckmore park in almost 2 years - the park is now open for use by Scout Groups again. They lit some fires and cooked some sausages.

Explorers Flag Dedication

The Titan Explorer Scout Unit's Flag was dedicated at the Harvest Festival Held at the Salvation Army hall in Chatham on 18th September 2005. The Service was held by Captain Kathy Woodhouse and Scout District Commisioner Graham Hancock was present. The Flag was presented by the Unit to the corps and paraded out with the other sections flags at the end of the Service.

Scouts Tent Pitching May 2006

The Scouts had a night out on 8th May 2006 and did some tent pitching. It was the first time this year that they've had the tent's out and managed to get one of the dome tent's up in 20 minutes and packed away again in 10. This is the kind of tent we will be using in Holland.
