Blackwell Adventure 2008
The Salvation Army UK Territorial camp was held at the Blackwell Adventure, near Bromsgrove from Saturday 2nd to Friday 8th August 2008. Salvation Army Scouts and Guides from around the UK did their own activitiies during the day and met up in the evening for joint events.
Cub Pack Holiday YHA Holmbury St Mary May 2008
In May 2008, the Cubs held their Pack Holiday at the Holmbury St Mary Youth Hostel, near Dorking in Surrey. They visited Drusilas Park, made rockets, hunted for bugs, searched for life in a pond, played wide games, had campfires and generally had a good time.
Salvation Army Scout and Guide Training Weekend 2008
The Salvation Army UK Scout and Guide Training Weekend 2008 was held at the Edale Youth Hostel in the Peak District National Park.
How High ...
The Scouts and Explorers had to make something as high as they could using only what they could find.
Gilwell Funday 2007
The Beavers and Cubs went to the Centenary Funday at Gilwell Park on 16th June 2007. They enjoyed the bouncy castles, climbing, jousting and rafting amongst many other activities
Moving, Falling and Fire lighting
One of our Beavers moved up to Cubs on Monday night. It's always nice to see young people move through to another section and we hope he enjoys his time in the Cubs. The Beavers also made some Hooks for their visit to the Cubs Pirate Camp and played a giant version of Jenga - they had to hide under a table just in case it fell over! The Scouts had they're first visit to Buckmore park in almost 2 years - the park is now open for use by Scout Groups again. They lit some fires and cooked some sausages.
Chip Shop Survey 2007
The annual Scout Troop chip shop survey took place. This year, for the first time, McDonalds won.
Red Nose Day Cake
Some of the Scouts made a cake for red nose day. This was for Red Nose day and to see if they could make the ideal supper to have on camp.
SA Scout and Guide Conference Weekend 2007
Salvation Army Scouters and Guiders from around the UK joined together one weekend in March 2007 to share time together, take part in training and share some worship time.
The Beavers and a Police Man
One of the Beavers parents who is a policeman visited the Beavers and talked to them about what the police do. He also showed them some of his equipment and the beavers were allowed to dress up in it.
The Travels of Ben the Beaver
Ben the Beaver is a member of the 4th Medway Beaver Scout Colony. He travels around the world. He has been to America, Japan, Kenya, SIngapore and Australia - and he's not finished yet!. Here are some of his holiday photos.
The Ideal Breakfast
The Scouts had to come up with an original idea for breakfast at camp. There Patrol leader choose Dutch style blueberry pancakes, fried eggs and crispy bacon.
Explorers Flag Dedication
The Titan Explorer Scout Unit's Flag was dedicated at the Harvest Festival Held at the Salvation Army hall in Chatham on 18th September 2005. The Service was held by Captain Kathy Woodhouse and Scout District Commisioner Graham Hancock was present. The Flag was presented by the Unit to the corps and paraded out with the other sections flags at the end of the Service.
Cycle Hike 2006
A few of the Scouts and Explorers took part in another Cycle Ride. Here are the Pictures.
Scouts Tent Pitching May 2006
The Scouts had a night out on 8th May 2006 and did some tent pitching. It was the first time this year that they've had the tent's out and managed to get one of the dome tent's up in 20 minutes and packed away again in 10. This is the kind of tent we will be using in Holland.
Beach BBQ 2006
The Scout Group held it AGM on the beach this year! Following on fram last years beach bbq at upnor, the whole group met together on the beach, had some great food, heard a review of the year and shared some time together.
Barn Dance
The Group held a barn dance in October 2003 to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of the group being formed.
Scout and Explorer Invested
One of our Scouts got invested as an Explorer and a new Scout got Invested on the same Evening. There were also some attempts at flying!

St Geroges Day 2006
All Sections in the Group turned out for the annual St Georges Day parade. This year it was once again at Rochester Cathedral.
Blacklands Farm 2004
The Salvation Army UK Territory held it's first UK Scout and Guide camp at Blacklands Farm in August 2004
Chip Shop Survey 2006
Once again, the Scouts scoured Chatham Town centre for the best chips in town. After a lot of discussion and tasting, the winner was announced as The Chatham Grill.
Gorillas Tea Party 2002
The Cubs went to Howlets Zoo in 2002 for a County Event. Whilst at the Zoo they got to take part in a Gorillas Tea Party.
Cubs at Kingsdown 99
The Cubs had their pack holiday at Kingsdown in 1999. They visited dover castle, the white cliffs experiece and did many activities at the Kingsdown Scout camp.
