The parents fundraising committee are holding a family Hot Pot and Quiz Evening on Saturday, 20th May 2006 at 7pm.

Anyone linked to the group: friends, family, members of the church are welcome to come along and join in this fun evening.

The cost if £5 per person. This event is to raise funds for the Scout Group to support events being run this year and to purchase equipment that will be used for years to come.

If you would like to reserve your space or need more informtion for the evening contact the Group Scout Leader or any of the other Leaders.

St Georges Day Parade was a bit wet! It was raining for most of the afternoon but once the Salvation Army Band started playing, everyone marched to the Cathedral as usual.

This is the first year that Medway and Strood Scout Districts joined together for the parade and it was great to see so many people there.

Sorry for the late notice, but this Sunday, 23rd April, is St Georges Day Parade. All Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts are expected to attend.

This Sunday, 26th March is Mothers Day and as usual, there will be a Church Parade at the Salvation Army hall.

Everyone should arrive at 9.45 and will be finished around 11am.

The rest of your family are very welcome as well.

The Youth Spectacular was great with the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts all taking part in the Scout Group item – who would have thought that could all dance so gracefully!

The Scouts Comic Relief video was also played and a number of people have commented on it since the evening. Look out for next years video.

We can now confirm that the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts will be joining in the Youth Spectacular this Saturday evening at the Salvation Army Hall, Chatham

Beavers, Cubs Scouts and Explorers should arrive at 5.45 for rehearsals. Doors open at 6.00pm for a 6.30 start – entrance fee is £2 per person.
This will be another opportunity to see everyone perform 5, 6, 7, 8 and may be your last chance to see the Scouts and Explorers Amarillo Video!

On Saturday, 11th March at 6.30pm, all the Young People who meet at the Salvation Army Hall in Chatham (The Sunday School, the Brownies and Guides, the Junior Band and the Singing company) will be putting on an evenings entertainment.

Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers are also very welcome to join in. So if you have poem you would like to read, a piece of music you would like to play or a sketch you would like to peform with some friends, let your section leader know and you can perform at the Spectacular as well.

There are lots of parts in the award scheme that you can complete by performing at this event so get thinking and talk to your leader if you need some suggestions.

There is a£2 fee for people comping to watch the show but if you are performing, it’s free.

The Scouts and Explorer Scouts are planning to attend this years Salvation Army International Scout and Guide camp hosted by the Netherlands Territory at Almere.

 

To assist with the costs of this we are raising money by recycling newspapers and magazines. We would be very grateful for your help.

 

Please bundle up your newspapers and magazines in carrier bags and bring them to any of the section meetings on Monday evenings and they will be collected from there.
