Any Cubs who have got items of equipment that do not belong to them, please bring them along to the swap shop on Monday night when you can get your own stuff back and return anything you’ve picked up by mistake whilst on camp.

Also, the Scouts and Explorers are meeting at Buckmore Park from 7.45pm to 9pm – don’t be late – we’re playing wide games.

The Cubs were learning about the patron saint of England and Scouting, St George – and also about the patron Saints of the other countries in the United Kingdom. They also made some iced biscuits with the flags on of each country.

The Scouts held their annual Chip Shop Survey. This year, for the first time, McDonalds won!

The Explorer Scouts prepared an activity for the Scouts next week and orgainised a trip to Thorpe Park and to help with the setup of the World Jamboree this summer.

A busy first night back after the Easter Holiday.

This Sunday we held our first Church Parade of the year at Chatham Salvation Army.

The Beavers, Cubs and Scouts along with the Brownies and Guides paraded in their flags and presented them to Major Kathy and then enjoyed the meeting which was run by Tracy, who is in charge of the Young People at the Salvation Army.

Mothersdaymeeting

It was great to see lots of family members come along for the meeting and all the mums were given bunches of Daffodils as it was mothers day.

At the same time as the Scout Group was parading, the crew of HMS chatham were also lining up for a parade outside the Hall. HMS Chatham was visiting Chatham Dockyard and the Crew were exercising their right to Parade through the town as they have the freedom of the city! The Beavers worked on some pictures of what they would look like in a years time and the things they want to do in Beavers this year. The Cubs looked at their Cub Promise and Law and started work on keeping a good turn diary for a week.

The Explorer’s played some games and talked about some of the activities they are going to do this term, including releasing a CD with Camp Fire songs on – so watch this space for more news on that!

The Scouts had their first night back as well (although with the same old leaders) and started work on the Scout Communicators badge.
